Introduction to Domestic Arbitration

This is the introductory course for participants interested in the Arbitration Pathway of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK) leading to the Associate level qualification. It provides an understanding of the general principles of arbitration and its relationship to other dispute resolution processes. The course will provide candidates with an introduction to the legal framework of, and good practice and procedure in, domestic arbitration based on Zambian law.

Qualifications:

Any person with a degree in any discipline or its equivalent

Any person with a primary profession where Arbitration is the preferred method of resolving disputes;

All other professionals. 

 

Fees: ZMW 6,500 or USD350, Assessment Fee: GBP 72 

The Assessment by CIArb UK will be held online within 28 days from 20th March, 2026.

Successful participants will be eligible for accreditation as Associates of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators UK (ACIArb). Those who subsequently wish to join the institute may become members of a respected worldwide network of professionals involved in the promotion of Alternative Dispute Resolution Mechanisms.
