Routes to membership

Join a global community of professionals dedicated to dispute avoidance and dispute resolution. Whether you are a student, early-career professional or experienced practitioner, Ciarb membership helps you to build knowledge, skills, and professional credibility and connections.

You can become a Ciarb member through the following three routes:

Successfully complete the Ciarb assessment required for your chosen grade of membership.*

For Associate grade, relevant courses include:

The Introduction courses and assessments.

For Member grade, relevant courses include:

The Accelerated Route to Membership.
The Module 1 courses and assessments.

For Fellowship, relevant courses include:

The Accelerated Route to Fellowship.
Modules 1-3 in your chosen discipline.
Ciarb’s Diplomas.

*Candidates who complete courses with Ciarb, should apply for membership within two years of completion. Eligibility criteria apply to certain courses. Please check before booking.

Provide evidence of successful completion of a Ciarb-accredited course taken through a Ciarb Recognised Course Provider* (RCP).

*Candidates who complete courses with one of Ciarb’s RCPs, should apply for membership within two years of completion.

Demonstrate professional experience commensurate with the required knowledge, skills and experience of your chosen membership grade.

Membership Grades

Based on your qualifications and experience, we offer four grades of membership. Our competence frameworks define the level of competence required for each grade.
